FirstMark has worked hard to obtain the excellent safety program and record we have today. We are committed to constantly working harder to make it even better. FirstMark has a zero tolerance for lost time accidents and near miss incidents. We have implemented a safety program that imposes these principles from all levels of management down to the individual workman in the field. We stress the importance of every manager and employee taking an active role in looking out for his fellow employee to make sure he or she is working safely, is working in a safe environment, and has the necessary safety equipment to avoid accidents. FirstMark has a full time safety team conducting spot checks of our job worksites and facilities. These safety professionals provide training classes to ensure that our workforce knows what is involved in providing safe work environments, and is familiar with every tool or piece of equipment they will be using in their work.
In addition to the safety training, FirstMark works to retain its workforce, believing that there are fewer accidents when each worker is familiar with the worker alongside them, and develops a commitment to making sure that every worker goes home safely every day. Our comprehensive incident review program constantly evaluates accidents/injuries in an effort to determine the root cause and eliminate the unsafe behavior in the future. Information that is learned from these incidents is then shared with other FirstMark employees through ongoing safety training programs.
